We also offer the preparation of court opinions and advice as an expert before the court.
Dr. Thomas Ertel is officially appointed and sworn by the IHK Region Stuttgart as an expert for investigation, risk assessment and remediation of landfills, contaminated sites and groundwater contamination.
Priorities of the previous expert work for courts
- Technical and financial aspects of the landfill remediation
- Remediation requirements and costs for soil and groundwater contamination
Identification of the polluter through fingerprinting studies and isotopic signatures
Opinions have been created for local and district courts in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia and for the Upper Administrative Court of Bremen.

- Remedial Engineering Group Leader / Geotechnical Engineering in the UW Umweltwirtschaft GmbH, Stuttgart 1990, 1993 authorized signatory, from 2004 on general manager
- Conferral Dr. rer. nat. at Stuttgart University with a thesis on "exploration methodology for groundwater contamination in solid rock" 1996
- Official appointment and swearing in as an expert by the IHK Region Stuttgart 1996

Practical work, Projects
Priorities in the areas of investigation and remediation of soil and groundwater contamination and brownfield remediation. Project management as well as projects on urban land management gain increasing importance in recent years. Since 2000, intensive activities in the application and management of projects funded by the EU.
Research and Development
R & D work in the areas of investigation strategies, on-site analysis, in-situ remediation of groundwater contamination, use of fingerprinting analyses and isotope signatures, and verification of innovative technologies. Furthermore several activities in the evaluation of R & D projects for the EU in the course of the 5th + 6th Framework Programme.
